We see her little, but when she goes out, she puts the package. Claire Keim literally lit up the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday May 25, 2021 during the film’s climb Stars at Noon (The Stars at Noon), by Claire Denis, presented in the official selection. On the iconic red steps of the Croisette, Claire Keim was simply divine. The 46-year-old actress was for the occasion made up by Charlotte Tilbury, her hair done by Dessange, adorned with Boucheron jewellery, worn by Jimmy Choo, all in a sumptuous Elie Saab dress with an endless plunging neckline. A bold and terribly effective look for the companion of Bixente Lizarazu.
On the red carpet, French director Claire Denis was surrounded by her very VIP cast with Margaret Qualley (Andie MacDowell’s daughter seen in the series Maid and Once Upon a Time in Hollywoodalso presented at Cannes), Joe Alwyn (the companion of superstar Taylor Swift, seen in The Favorite), Danny Ramirez (seen in Orange Is the New Black and Falcon and the Winter Soldier) and Nick Romano.
Other people present stole the show a bit from the film crew. Starting with Nabilla Benattia, very very pregnant and super stylish in a flashy white dress. Accompanied by her husband Thomas Vergara, the 30-year-old star put on a show as she prepares to give birth to her second child. Sandra Sisley and Aïssa Maïga also caught the eye on the red carpet.
In Stars at noon (The Stars at Noon), a young American journalist (Margaret Qualley) in distress stranded without a passport in today’s Nicaragua in the middle of an election period meets an English traveler in a hotel bar. He seems to her to be the perfect man to help her flee the country. She realizes too late that, on the contrary, she is entering a murkier, more dangerous world by his side.
The film is in the running for the Palme d’Or. Result Saturday, May 28 during the closing ceremony of the 75th edition of the Cannes Film Festival.
