Cannes Film Festival: behind the scenes of the event

The 2022 edition of the Cannes Film Festival is launched. Saturday May 21, in the 19/20 of France 3, the journalist Catherine Matausch goes to meet those who also participate in the success of the event but in the shadows. This is particularly the case of Claire Breton, 18, who works as a clerk at the Barrière Le Majestic hotel. Despite the pressure of her job, she says she still tries to be “a minimum of friendly, to be attentive with customers”.

Johan Galea is a valet. He therefore sometimes has to handle luxury vehicles that belong to customers. “It’s great to be able to do it but you also have to be very careful of course”, he explains. Housekeeper Hélène Lecrocq explains the importance of discretion in this type of establishment. “We are part of the walls, while obviously doing our job to the fullest”she says.
