Cannes exhibits the visual work of filmmaker Agnès Varda

The installation, titled “Table tennis, flip flops and camping“, is by Agnès Varda. “It’s a little alliteration, it’s funny. This shows all the humor of Agnès Varda. It is an installation that she had created for the Fondation Cartier. We reused the plans she left and the objects she had found everywhere“, explains Hanna Baudet, director of the Pôle d’Art Contemporain de Cannes (Alpes-Maritimes).

Agnès Varda the gleaner turns an abandoned cabin into a cinema cabin where broadcast images of happiness and images of television news. Outside was plant Mona’s tent No shelter, no law. At the wall of hut are hung hundreds of mini wall art by Sandra Bonnaire. “When the film is no longer shown in the cinema, the film is stored in reels on a shelf and that is something that he did not like, so making it a work of art allows him to continue living and not take the dust“, reports Hanna Baudet.
