Cannes 2022: Andie MacDowell assumes her gray hair, Helen Mirren glamorous and changed

This Friday, May 27, 2022 marks the last day of screenings at the Cannes Film Festival before the Palme d’Or is awarded. A little brother was particularly honored and joined the competition on the sidelines of the deliberation of the jury, chaired by Vincent Lindon. It is the French director Léonor Serraille who is at the origin of this drama with the comedian Ahmed Sylla in the cast, in a register to which he has never accustomed us. They were accompanied tonight byAnnabelle Lengronne, Stéphane Bak, Sidy Fofana and Kenzo Sambin.

To discover his new feature film, a panel of people made the trip. Andie MacDowell caught the eye in a long, low-cut dress from Christian Dior’s 2016 collection. As always, she sported her natural gray hair with ease and class. Helen Mirren has also redoubled her glamor to stand out on the red carpet with a very pronounced makeup and in a flashy outfit. To top it off, she displayed very long, white hair, topped with a half-tail. The 76-year-old actress was almost unrecognizable! Very relaxed and radiant, she also offered a few small dance steps in front of the photographers before being joined by her friend and fellow L’Oréal ambassador, Andie MacDowell. The two very complicit actresses were simply sublime.

Also present were: Priscilla Betti, Noel Capri Berry, Lara Gautier, Benjamin Biolay, Edgar Ramirez, Gemma Chan, Patricia Bright, Laetitia Dosch and model Lais Ribeiro. Joakim Noah’s bride looked divine in a long slit dress in yellow.

A film of “sudden necessity”

With A little brother, Léonor Seraille wanted to depict the construction and deconstruction of a family, from the end of the 1980s to the present day. “I have often wanted to write about the life of the father of my children. I was touched by elements linked to his coming to France as a child. There were also bridges with my feelings as a mother, and the questions I asked myself about my own family. The screenplay was written with a sudden sense of necessity“, explained Léonor Serraille within the framework of the Festival. The work of the director was eagerly awaited, she who had already charmed the Croisette in 2017 with her first film Young woman. At the time, she won the Camera d’or.

The Cannes Film Festival 2022 ends this Saturday, May 28, 2022. It is at 8:30 p.m., on France 2, that we can follow the winners of this 75th edition.
