(New York) Tilray Brands announced Wednesday that its wellness division has signed a distribution agreement with Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits.

The cannabis producer said the deal was to give Tilray Wellness access to Southern Glazer’s distribution network of bars, restaurants, grocery chains and convenience stores.
Tilray will use the network to distribute drinks containing cannabidiol (CBD), a non-psychoactive compound found in cannabis.
Tilray did not specify the terms or the value of the agreement it reached with Southern Glazer’s, based in Miami and Dallas. He noted, however, that the company would serve as the exclusive distribution partner for Tilray Wellness products in 13 states and have additional opportunities to expand nationally.
He presented the deal as a way to develop a portfolio of CBD drinks that will appeal to the general public and take this category of products “off the fringe”.
Southern Glazer’s website says it is also a distributor of Bob Marley-branded CBD drinks, as well as Cann, a maker of cannabis-infused drinks in which actress Gwyneth Paltrow has invested.
