Canet Valette Antonym Saint-Chinian 2021 | Winter Thirst Wine

Always very good value for money, the Antonyme cuvée from the excellent Canet Valette estate is a thirst-quenching, gourmet wine, focused on fruit.

Made with Mourvèdre, Cinsault, Grenache, Syrah and Carignan, the five red grape varieties authorized in Saint-Chinian, the 2021 presents itself with a dark character, more rooted in the earth.

The nose opens with a heart of black fruit, around which develop animal, leather, game, mineral, spice and garrigue notes. Very dry, it offers a full, firm and tasty mouth, while keeping the tone and drinkability that we know.

Perhaps more of a winter wine in this vintage than a summer wine, it will go wonderfully with braised meats, game pie, or pasta with Bolognese sauce (with lamb!).

Do not hesitate to decant the wine an hour before serving it.
