candidates victims of “hateful messages”, production forced to intervene

Production intervenes. This Tuesday March 5, 2024, TF1 made a call to order on social networks. “Koh-Lanta is an entertainment show that we all love to comment on”first indicated the channel before adding: “We would like to recall the importance of doing so in a spirit of kindness and respect towards all. We do not tolerate any hateful messages towards the participants”.

Is this message a precursor to a viral sequence to be expected in tonight’s episode or does it refer to the comments that adventurers can sometimes receive on social networks? As a reminder, Amri was recently victim of a wave of hatred on Instagram after his criticism of William. To calm things down, the candidate tried to explain his reaction. “My words are those of a man who reacted strongly following the words of William who told us that he will find us food easily and above all quickly. It has been 4 days since we have eaten anything, despite hours of research”, he clarified before adding that he felt no animosity towards his comrade.

“William is someone I really like and he knows it. Seeing him build a harpoon and all the paraphernalia of the perfect adventurer really pleased me, I learned a lot and I thank him for that. But at this stage of adventure, what we wanted with the whole team was to find food on the earth”, he continued. And to conclude: “I fully accept the fact of having given my opinion on what I felt at the time, this is also part of my values.”

Nico Capone victim of grossophobia

This is unfortunately not the first time that TF1 has had to reframe internet users. Last month, it was following grossophobic remarks against Nico Capone, candidate of Dance with the stars

that the production had shared a similar message…
