Cancer Research Funding | Marie-Annick Lépine launches a Christmas song

This Friday a Christmas song composed by Marie-Annick Lépine, from Cowboys Fringants, will be launched, and the profits will go to cancer research.

This is what Marie-Annick Lépine announced Wednesday evening on her Facebook page. She published a video where we see the little singers from the choir of the Vieux Palais de L’Assomption performing it with her, Tuesday evening.

During a gathering at L’Assomption on November 15, Marie-Annick Lépine announced the existence of this song, which she composed for the choir she directs. She had played it to her partner, Karl Tremblay, a few days before her death, and he had told her that it was the most beautiful Christmas song he had heard.

The song – which we are likely to hear often this winter! – will be available on the Bandcamp website (an online music store) for $5 or more.

“It’s for a good cause and my big one loved this bright song,” wrote the multi-instrumentalist on Facebook.
