Forward Sean Monahan will play his first game in a Montreal Canadiens uniform on Monday night, during a preseason game against the Toronto Maple Leafs at the Bell Centre.

During the morning session, the 27-year-old skater pivoted a line made up of Jonathan Drouin and Josh Anderson.
” I’m excited. It’s been a while since I’ve been involved in a game and felt unwell,” said Monahan, recovering from hip surgery in April.
Last week, Drouin said he was positive about the possible combination with Monahan, pointing out that their respective styles went well together. The center player acquired from the Flames abounded in the same direction, at the end of the morning training.
“He’s an excellent player. I’ve known him for a while. He is very skillful and intelligent. He handles the puck well and is able to spot his linemates well,” he said.
