(Calgary) Canadian Pacific Railway and the union Unifor have reached a tentative agreement on a collective agreement for 1,200 car and locomotive maintenance workers.
The company and the union said details of the agreement would not be made public until the agreement is ratified.
Unifor said it will provide members with information in the coming days about ratification meetings, which will be held in several locations across the country.
The contract covers workers at 18 locations from British Columbia to Quebec.
Unifor said negotiations with the railroad have been ongoing since September.
The previous collective agreement expired on December 31.
