The season started strong with a double from Ferrari. Monegasque Charles Leclerc dominated to claim his first victory since 2019. Things went less well for Red Bull: Max Verstappen, who was following Leclerc, was forced to retire with three laps remaining. Same thing for Sergio Pérez on the very last lap. Result: Lewis Hamilton, who had been struggling with his car in the previous weeks, took an unexpected third place.

Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc fought hard in the last eight laps. It was the defending champion who had the upper hand, picking up his first victory of the season. Ferrari achieved its second double in a row, while the other Red Bull finished just off the podium. Lewis Hamilton took the 10e rank, just in the points. Fernando Alonso (Alpine), Daniel Ricciardo (McLaren), Valtteri Bottas (Alfa Romeo) and Alex Albon (Williams) all retired along the way.

The success continued for Charles Leclerc in front of the 128,294 spectators in Melbourne. The Monegasque, much faster than his pursuers, dominated this race to claim his second victory of the season. It went less well for his teammate Sainz junior, who had to retire in the first laps. It’s Red Bull’s turn to have two drivers on the podium. Max Verstappen was sparkling from start to finish under the gray clouds of Imola. Sergio Pérez took second place, while Lando Norris gave McLaren a first podium. Charles Leclerc this time had to settle for the 6e position. Quebecer Lance Stroll, 10e, earned his first point in the Drivers’ Championship. As for Lewis Hamilton, he finished the race in 13e square.

After a slow race, Max Verstappen got his hands on the first Florida Grand Prix in Formula 1 history. Miami. In continuity with the first Grands Prix of the season, it was the Ferraris of Leclerc and Sainz fils which placed second and third on the day of the 40e anniversary of the death of Gilles Villeneuve. Lance Stroll took the 10e rank and Hamilton, the 6e.

In an eventful race in Barcelona, Max Verstappen took his fourth win and took advantage of Charles Leclerc’s retirement on 27e lap to take first place in the drivers’ standings. Yet it was Sergio Pérez who had the lead until 49e turn, until he is ordered to let his teammate pass. “It’s not fair, but OK,” he said into his microphone. Red Bull and Ferrari, again them. Sergio Pérez triumphed for the first time this season in the rain at Monaco. Leclerc, who led until 22e lap, was the victim of an error by his team which made him return to the pits at the same time as Sainz. The Monegasque, delayed, had to settle for 4e square. At 26e turn, Mick Schumacher’s Haas completely severed after losing control. Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton took the 8e rank.

This is the Grand Prix where the balance of power has changed. Red Bull secured a one-two finish, with Max Verstappen in the lead and new title contender Sergio Pérez, while Ferrari suffered the ultimate fiasco of a race retirement. Another blow for Charles Leclerc, more and more dropped, who nevertheless started in the lead. He had to withdraw on the 20e of 51 laps due to an engine problem.
