(BOSTON, MA) Things are not improving in the infirmary for the Canadiens. Mike Hoffman has an upper body injury and will not face the Bruins on Sunday night, Dominique Ducharme announced. Moreover, Artturi Lehkonen represents an uncertain case.
It is Adam Brooks who will return to training in the absence of Hoffman. Brooks will play in the center, while Ryan Poehling will be transferred to the wing, along with Christian Dvorak and Brendan Gallagher.
For his part, Jonathan Drouin is not ready to return to the game, even if he participated in the very optional morning training of the Habs, Sunday, at TD Garden. He will therefore miss a sixth game in a row, he who has been injured in the head since being shot in the ear on November 2.
Samuel Montembeault will defend the net for the Canadiens. Recall that Jake Allen left Saturday’s game after a hard-hitting collision with Red Wings forward Dylan Larkin. Montembeault came in, while Cayden Primeau was recalled from Laval.
Like the Canadian, the Bruins were also playing abroad on Sunday. They defeated the Devils 5-2 in the pretty market town of Newark, and they had an optional drill Sunday morning at their suburban training complex.
