Canadian – Bruins | Drouin on the ice rink

(BOSTON, MA) As indicated on Saturday by Dominique Ducharme, Jonathan Drouin participates in the very optional morning training of the Canadian, Sunday, at the TD Garden.

The forward, injured in the head since being shot in the ear on November 2, only had three teammates to go with him: Sami Niku, Mattias Norlinder and Adam Brooks, the three supernumeraries of the Saturday game.

It is still unclear whether Drouin will be able to return to the game in the evening. But the Quebecer had not participated in Saturday training in Detroit. His name currently appears on the injured list, so if he returns to the game, a player will have to be ceded to Laval, since the CH has the maximum of 23 players in its squad.

That said, he spent around 40 minutes on the ice, which seems a bit long, by standards, for a player who intends to play in the evening.

Dominique Ducharme will meet the media at the end of the afternoon to take stock.

No goalkeeper participated in the Sunday morning session. Recall that Jake Allen left Saturday’s game after a hard-hitting collision with Red Wings forward Dylan Larkin. Samuel Montembeault took over, while Cayden Primeau was recalled from Laval and was scheduled to travel from Montreal to Boston on Sunday.

Like the Canadian, the Bruins were also playing abroad on Sunday. They defeated the Devils 5-2 in the pretty market town of Newark, and they had an optional drill Sunday morning at their suburban training complex.
