CH scored three consecutive goals to surprise the Leafs, who defeated them on Friday and Saturday. Josh Anderson forced extra time when the Canadian’s net was empty, taking his time to beat Ilya Samsonov in the upper section.

Just 31 seconds into overtime, Suzuki pounced on Cole Caufield’s return shot, which had just hit the post head-on. The captain finished his evening with three points.

The Habs players showed character in this meeting. Johnathan Kovacevic, who is having a good training camp, quickly responded to John Tavares’ second goal at the start of the third period.

Max Domi also hit the target, against his former team, to boot. Noah Gregor was the first of the local favorites to shake the ropes, taking advantage of a moment of weakness from Allen. The Canadiens goaltender spent the entire game on the ice, allowing four goals on 28 shots.

Kirby Dach and Mattias Norlinder obtained the other successes for the visitors. Sean Monahan was particularly generous with two assists.

The Canadian will finish his preparatory schedule by crossing swords with the Ottawa Senators on Saturday evening at the Canadian Tire Centre.
