In Ottawa, capital of Canada, the state of emergency was declared on Sunday February 6 by the mayor of the city in response to a convoy of anti-vaccine truckers which has paralyzed the city for nearly ten days. From now on, the movement extends to other cities like Toronto or Quebec.

In central Ottawa, the horns of the convoy of anti-vaccine truckers are still sounding for the ninth day in a row, Sunday, February 6. Protesters block the approaches to the Canadian Parliament. The organizers are determined to continue the mobilization until the withdrawal of the measures anti covid. The police over the weekend called the movement a “dangerous”. Mayor Jim Watson, who considers the situation out of control, declared a state of emergency in the Canadian capital.

The truckers are also supported by part of the population. Some come to bring them fuel, despite the threat of the police to make arrests for anyone who comes to the aid of the demonstrators. The movement, dubbed “freedom convoy”, spread to several major cities this weekend, such as Toronto and Quebec.
