Canada Post will issue a new stamp in honour of Toronto-born filmmaker Norman Jewison, who died in January.
Jewison notably had a career in Hollywood, where he directed numerous Oscar-winning films, including In the heat of the Night And Moonlight.
He also received the Academy’s Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award in 1999 for his career.
The commemorative stamp will be unveiled next Wednesday at the Canadian Film Centre in Toronto, a film training centre that Jewison founded.
