The Canadian authorities announced, Friday, June 23, the opening of an investigation into the accident of the Titan, this private submersible disappeared near the wreck of the titanic with five people on board. The Canadian Transportation Safety Board “will carry out a safety investigation into the circumstances of this operation carried out by the vessel Polar Prince flying the Canadian flag”he wrote.

THE Polar Prince is the ship from which the small tourist submarine left in the North Atlantic on Sunday, which probably imploded. Debris was found near the wreckage of the titanic, nearly 4,000 meters deep. Many concerns about the safety of the American company OceanGate’s submersible, known for years, re-emerged this week as an armada of rescuers tried to save the crew.

The Canadian Transportation Safety Board oversees the investigation of air, rail and marine accidents with the goal of advancing safety. It does not comment on any civil or criminal liability.
