Camille Cottin and Benjamin Biolay make an unexpected revelation about Jean-Jacques Goldman’s “thunes”: “It’s very, very rare”

Jean-Jacques Goldman’s last appearance in public dates back to 2016 during the Enfoirés concert. Even before this date, the famous composer and singer was very discreet since his last real concert dates back to… 2004! Out of love for his youngest children, the one who has long been the favorite personality of the French decided to retire from media life and lead an incognito life away from the spotlight.

Fortunately we manage to have his news through his close friends like the musician Michael Jones who recently assured that he is “doing very well”. Today, two famous French actors have just mentioned him, reminding us what a big heart he has. Soon on display at “A few more days” by director Julie Navarro, Benjamin Biolay and Camille Cottin were this Thursday March 21, 2024, present on the set of the RTL show Bonsoir, on RTL radio.

“He left the money”

In this feature film which talks about the fate of migrants, several songs by Jean-Jacques Goldman are used in the background and against all expectations, the director was able to use it for free. “Jean-Jacques Goldman has transferred the rights” launched Camille Cottin before explaining: “Sometimes it’s a whole story when directors write. They have music in mind and then there will be a reality, which is: ‘How much does it cost?’ And it’s very rare to have the rights. There was no money… and iHe gave them because he liked the film and the subject is close to his heart. I think it’s worth saying“.

And Benjamin Biolay confirms: That’s a reality. This is not a survey in Le JDD, it’s really… He left the money… It’s beautiful because it costs very expensive, it can weigh down a film budget“. A gesture which proves once again that the famous musician is truly a personality with a big heart.
