Acquired to replace the fragile Matt Murray, Cam Talbot will start the season on the Ottawa Senators injured list.

The club announced on Monday that the 35-year-old veteran goaltender acquired from the Minnesota Wild against Filip Gustavsson will be out for five to seven weeks with an “upper body” injury, while head coach DJ Smith originally mentioned in the morning that he was “hands on” when he received a puck “under his gear” in practice last Thursday.
