A wolf was reportedly seen a few days ago near Bayeux (Calvados). An agent from the French biodiversity office went to the site for samples.
It is an intriguing cliché. In broad daylight, in an agricultural field in the town of Sully (Calvados), near Bayeux, a photo was taken by a farmer from the village. We see an animal that strongly resembles a wolf. The presence of this canine was also reported during the weekend of November 20 and 21 by hunters and walkers in the communes of Maisons or Sommervieux.
The hunting society was apparently already informed of the possible presence of this animal. The question is also whether it was a wolf or a stray dog? Alerted, the National Biodiversity Office sent one of its agents on site to carry out footprint surveys in particular. If the current investigation confirms the presence of a wolf, it would be a first in the Bessin for decades.
