On October 25, Call of Duty Black Ops 6 launched worldwide, featuring its campaign, multiplayer mode, and zombies. While some players opted to start with the campaign before diving into the multiplayer aspect, others, eager for action, jumped straight into multiplayer. In just a few hours, the first player unlocked the mastery skin ‘Dark Matter.’
The First Player to Achieve Mastery Camo in Black Ops 6!
With the release of any Call of Duty game, there’s always excitement in the race for camouflages! For those who may not know, these are various weapon skins (commonly referred to as camos) that players unlock by leveling up their weapons through completing specific challenges. Alongside the standard military-themed skins for BO6, there are also the more coveted mastery camouflages, including Gold, Diamond, ‘Black Viper’, and the most prestigious: Dark Matter.
To acquire the coveted Dark Matter camo, players must use every weapon simultaneously. This achievement only unlocks after all weapons have earned the previous camouflage, Black Viper. It’s certainly no easy feat, as you can imagine.
However, on social media platform X, the challenge was quickly taken on by a player known as ‘SkullFace.’
Upon the release of Black Ops 6, he set out to unlock this skin as quickly as possible, streaming the attempt live on Twitch. He remarkably stayed awake for a staggering 43 hours straight while playing Black Ops, and managed to secure the first Dark Matter skin after 57 hours of gameplay. Just one day later, he managed to obtain the same skin for the other 33 weapons… This impressive feat drew a mix of admiration and skepticism in the comments on X, with some questioning his social life and personal hygiene!
Nuketown is Live in Black Ops 6!
As a reminder, on November 1, 2024, the multiplayer mode of Black Ops 6 introduced a ‘new’ map, the iconic Nuketown! Just released, players can now immerse themselves in this nuclear test town and showcase their best kills. Similar to the Shipment map in Modern Warfare, Nuketown is expected to have several themed versions throughout the year, reflecting various events like Christmas and Independence Day.
Additionally, a Double XP weekend has just begun and will run until November 4. This gives players the perfect opportunity to grind their weapons and levels, with hopes of reaching at least Prestige 1! Are you up for the challenge?
It’s been a week since Call of Duty Black Ops 6 debuted globally. While Treyarch’s title has received much acclaim, some traditions remain unchanged: players have already identified the worst multiplayer map!
