Fatphobia, that is to say discrimination against overweight or obese people, poisons the lives of many French people. It concerns all aspects of life: when hiring, during medical consultations, or even in public places.

Encouraged to play sports, mainly to lose weight and reduce the risks to their health, these people are not always welcome in clubs and gyms. Unsuitable equipment, exclusion from sports teams, judgments… The barriers are numerous.

Do you like playing football, practicing boxing or gymnastics, would you like to go kayaking or swimming, but you encounter difficulties in getting there due to fatphobic behavior or rules? Do you play or have played a sport in which you have suffered discrimination because of your weight? Have you managed to find a space where you can freely practice the sport you love? Have you never dared to take the plunge for fear of rejection?

We are interested in your testimony and you can answer our questions in the form below. Your responses will be consulted in the coming days by our journalists. They will remain confidential and no publication concerning you will take place without your consent. Anonymity is also possible. The testimonies that catch our attention will result in direct contact.
