Call for strike at Coca-Cola European Partners this Wednesday

The strikers of the oil company Total demanded 10% salary last month, the inter-union group of the Coca-Cola European Partners group follows suit and claims 8%. The soft drink giant has a factory in Haute-Garonne in Castanet-Tolosan, it has existed for 54 years, it is the smallest Coca-cola factory in France, 105 employees are employed.

This Tuesday the NAO (compulsory annual negotiation) at the headquarters in Issy-les-Moulineaux lasted until very late at night. Management offered a 4.8% raise. Insufficient says the inter-union which call for strike this Wednesday in all its factories. The central trade union delegate and CFDT negotiator Henrique Nunes Da Silva has no problem asking for 8% salary:

We ask as much because the financial results of management have never been better. They post a net profit of +22% in the month of October and the next year is set to be a record for profits for the company

The negotiator recalls that:our European Department has announced inflation for France of 6.2%,” and :

It’s not because we work at Coca-Cola that we splurge, we are paid 20% above the minimum wage, we don’t have salaries at 3-4000 euros”

A new negotiation meeting is scheduled for Monday, November 14.

The management of the Coca-Cola European Partners group should communicate in turn soon.
