Calgary: rally in front of the hotel where Justin Trudeau is staying

Groups of protesters gathered Wednesday night outside a hotel in Calgary, Alta., where Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is staying.

The Calgary Police Department was notified around 8:40 p.m. about the protest outside the Fairmont Palliser Hotel, according to Global News.

The police did not precede any arrests among those present, while they were rather cooperative and no act of violence was reported.

The Prime Minister’s stay in Alberta is justified by his participation in a ceremony with the Siksika Nation.

Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations Marc Miller will also be present at the meeting, it was added.
