(Calgary) The Calgary Flames announced that their goaltender Jacob Markstrom has a lower body injury and that his condition will be re-evaluated daily on Tuesday.
To replace him, they recalled Dustin Wolf from the Calgary Wranglers of the American League.
Markstrom played his last game on Saturday, when the Florida Panthers, sitting in first place in the National Hockey League standings, defeated the Flames 5-1. Dan Vladar was in goal for the Flames during a 7-2 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes the next day.
The 34-year-old Markstrom was 22-17-2 in 41 games this season, posting a 2.68 goals-against average and a .910 save percentage.
Wolf, 22, has a 1-3-1 record in six games in the NHL since the start of the campaign with a 3.91 average and a .878 percentage.
The Flame are scheduled to host the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday night.
