Vallée and his partner Margo Erlam triumphed in the synchronized three-metre event with a total of 305.40 points.

They edged two-time Olympic Maple Leaf representative Pamela Ware by one spot in those Canada Cup events. Australians Kate Rosman and Alysha Koloi followed the Canadian pairs.

Ware, former teammate of Jennifer Abel – now retired – teamed up with Aimee Wilson in synchronized diving. The duo had the chance to do only one practice together before the competition.

Vallée then took silver in the individual event with 341.25 points. American Sarah Bacon won gold.

The Canadian divers will return to competition on July 15, in Bolzano, Italy.

On the men’s side, Montreal’s Nathan Zsombor-Murray and his teammate, Rylan Wiens, were crowned champions in the 10 meters with their 436.56 points.

The English Ben Cutmore and Kyle Kothari followed with nearly 62 points difference.

Quebecers Benjamin Tessier and Matt Cullen had to settle for bronze due to a 0.27 point difference with second place.

Cullen did, however, get a taste of silver in the mixed 10m synchro event. The Rosemerois and his partner, Katelyn Fung, finished behind the Brazilian duo of Kawan Pereira and Ingrid Oliveira.
