A café in partnership with Les Grands Ballets in the Wilder Building? It’s been on the cards since the inauguration, in 2017, of this space dedicated to dance, which houses several companies, presenters and schools such as Agora de la danse, Tangente, the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal and Les Studios. of the Grands Ballets.

It took a long time, but the brand new, beautiful Café Constance has finally been open for a few weeks. The customers who have already adopted it are numerous, we were able to observe during our visits — building workers, passers-by and, yes, dancers from Les Grands Ballets!
The place, bright and welcoming, is located on the ground floor of the building and offers a view of the Place des Festivals. It was named in honor of Constance Pathy, board member and patron of Les Grands Ballets. Sharp eyes will recognize the touch of designer Zébulon Perron. We can observe winks to the world of ballet, including the distinctive hanging lights dressed in their delicate pleated skirt, reminiscent of the tutu of ballerinas.

Café Constance offers a daily menu, ideal for dinner or a snack, created by the Olive Orange catering team, which has been active in the Place des Arts area for over 16 years. Adam Bebawi and his partner Pascal Dauchez have come up with a fairly healthy menu made up of meal salads (salmon gravlax, vegan) and sandwiches (chicken, gravlax, lamb, vegan) prepared to order for maximum freshness. We also offer a quiche of the day, quinoa pancakes or soft spinach bread. For a snack on the go, let yourself be tempted by the scone of the day, matcha-oat cookies or energy balls, all homemade. To be enjoyed with a green smoothie, a coffee, an infusion or a glass of kombucha on tap.
Café Constance is open daily, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekends.
