Caesars | Simple like Sylvain in the running for the best foreign film award

The film Simple like Sylvaindirected by Monia Chokri, is nominated in the best foreign film category for the next French Cinema Césars ceremony.


The romantic comedy starring Magalie Lépine-Blondeau and Pierre-Yves Cardinal will, however, face a major opponent, whileOppenheimer by Christopher Nolan, crowned best film at the Golden Globes and holder of the greatest number of citations at the next Oscars gala with 13, also appears in the category.

Quebec director of photography Nicolas Bolduc, who worked on both parts of the saga The three Musketeersis cited in the category of best photo direction.

The science fiction film The animal kingdomby Thomas Cailley, obtained the most nominations with 12. He is closely followed by Anatomy of a fallby Justine Triet, with 11.

The 49e Césars ceremony will be held on February 23 at the Olympia in Paris.
