Friday evening February 25 took place the Cesar ceremony. The big winner of the evening is Xavier’s film Giannili“Lost Illusions”, the successful adaptation of Balzac’s novel which won seven trophies, including that of best film.
At the Cesar ceremony, Friday, February 25, the verdict falls: the César for best film goes to lost illusions. The film won it all with seven awards for the adaptation of Balzac. Best decor, best supporting role, best film and the César for best male hope for the young actor Benjamin Voisin. “I will do my best to try to justify this hope in your eyes, by my work in the next years”did he declare.
The other big winner of the evening is Annette who wins five trophies, including that of the best achievement. On the side of Valérie Lemercier, she won the César for best actress for her incarnation in the film Alinefake biopic of Celine Dion to whom she dedicated her award. The ceremony was also placed under the sign of emotion with the tribute of Xavier Dolanfriend of Gaspard Ullielwho died last January.
