During our bike ride between Caen and Ouistreham to reach the sea, we pass in front of the first house liberated on the night of June 5 to 6, 1944: the Cafe Gondree located opposite the Pegasus Bridgee to Benouville. A break is needed to discuss with the owner of the premises, Arlette Gondreedaughter of resistance fighters.
