In the report series In my streetwe stroll through five emblematic, unusual or historic streets in Caen. We are this week:
- Rue Arcisse de Caumont to meet Sylvie who helps us find hats off to us,
- St. Peter Street with Lise, seller of 100% Norman products,
- Place Fontette to chat with Jean-Charles and his wall of dedications,
- William the Conqueror Street with Alex and his conquering cheeses,
- Rue Montoir Fish market where Loïc’s little train is.
William the Conqueror Street with Alex
Here is a good address if you are a lover of good cheeses: the 12 rue William the Conqueror to the Conqueror Cheese Factory. In his window, Alex, one of the managers, highlights the cheeses of Norman producers : La Chèvreline in Vassy, Les Chèvres de la Saffrie in Montchamps or La ferme des Cara-Meuh in the Manche department. The opportunity also to leave with a cheese / charcuterie platter.
