The CAB won 20 to 15 against racing 92, during the second friendly preparation match which was held in Terrasson-Lavilledieu (Dordogne). Diligent, Joris Jurand’s teammates mastered their game.
After conceding a first try from Nolann Le Garrec after 10 minutes of play, the Brivistes recovered. A quarter of an hour later, center Nico Lee sped straight into the in-goal after a magnificent interception. Just before the break, Guillaume Galletier also came to score a try. Back from the locker room, CAB led 17-5.
Stuart Olding’s slightly injured teammates continued to unwind in the second half. Authors all the same of some inaccuracies which allowed the racingmen to return to five lengths. But Jérémy Davidson’s men delivered a very masterful match, who is delighted with this victory. “We saw great things in attack, we had a good conquest in touch and scrum, and the footwork was good too”.
The evening captain, Estéban Abadie, performing in touch in particular, is also happy with the result. “Even if these are friendly matches, it’s super important to win. We didn’t care how we did, but we wanted to win to gain confidence”. A second victory after that against Bristol last week, in Saint-Affrique, which concludes a promising preparation, before find Lyon on Saturday September 3 for the resumption of the Top 14
