Opened in 2020 rue Beaubien, in the south of Little Italy, this friendly neighborhood address remains a café-canteen during the day, but turns into a bar in the evening, while retaining its friendly signature. “We want it to remain a simple, family-friendly place, a neighborhood address,” says co-owner Dominique Goupil.

After having gone through multiple obstacles, due in large part to the pandemic, Dominique Goupil and Martin Lamirande wanted to offer themselves a new start, without however rushing the clientele. Regulars can still enjoy a coffee from the roaster Zab, a pastry from Hélico, a salad or a sandwich, or even settle down there to work. At aperitif time, the bar atmosphere sets in, as well as a menu offering snacks and dishes to share (or not) such as a burrata with cherry tomatoes, a shrimp roll spices, a salmon gravlax and pork chops with chimichurri sauce. However, this menu is set to change with the arrival of a new chef in the kitchen.

To drink, there is a selection of microbrewery beers and privately imported wines, often natural (Rézin, Les Vins de Julie, Le vin dans les voiles), starting at $9 a glass. In addition to a terrace on the street side, the establishment will soon benefit from a new space inside its premises which will be able to accommodate private events.
