On Thursday June 23, at 2:30 p.m. in the Cour Carrée du Louvre, Louis Vuitton presented its Spring/Summer 2023 Men’s collection during Paris Fashion Week. A place located a few meters from the one chosen (the Gardens of the Palais Royal, editor’s note) by the luxury house in 2018 for Virgil Abloh’s first show at the first brand of the LVMH group. The spirit of the designer, who died in November 2021, was present around this collection, entitled Strange Math. Rapper Kendrick Lamar, who sang four songs from his seat, kept repeating: Long Live Virgil.
For this first spring-summer parade that the clothing designer had not designed, a good number of French and international stars had made the trip. Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel were present, as were actor Tahar Rahim, Naomi Campbell, singer Eddy de Pretto and artist J Balvin. Omar Sy was in attendance not with his wife but with his daughter Selly Sy. A rare public outing for the father and his eldest daughter, kept away from the objectives. On this occasion, father and daughter posed for a more than convincing result (see our slideshow above). Omar and Hélène Sy had five children (three girls and two boys born in 2001 and 2017).
“My relationship changes with my children”
In an interview given to Parisianthe 44-year-old comedian spoke about his job and the impact of certain roles on his relationship with his children. “Every time I play a father (in the movies), my relationship changes with my children. And my relationship as a son changes with my father. I haven’t experienced in my own life. I start asking myself questions through my characters. It feeds me as a man and it always stirs two or three little things.”he said last month.
