Montreal businessman Vincent Guzzo has been arrested and charged with criminal harassment and breach of conditions.
The 54-year-old man, big boss of Guzzo cinemas, was briefly detained and appeared on Sunday.
The harassment he is accused of allegedly took place in Terrebonne between November 2022 and June 2023. As for the breach of conditions, it would have occurred last Friday according to court documents. He is accused of having communicated with a person after undertaking before the Court not to do so.
Terrebonne Public Security investigated the case. The Crown objected to his release, but the accused was released on Monday, having been prohibited from possessing weapons.
The entrepreneur, whose popularity was boosted by his participation as a “dragon” on the show Dragon’s Den CBC, is due back in court in September.
