A baker in Metz (Moselle) has decided to increase the price of his baguette by five cents, since his electricity bill has doubled in a few weeks. “Over the year, we consume around 55,000 euros, across all three stores. +88,000 euros is something absolutely huge”, testifies Michel Dudot, baker. Catering, but also industry and production players, are suffering from soaring energy prices.
