Laval Mayor Stéphane Boyer described a “horrible to see” scene after walking Wednesday morning to where a Société de transport de Laval (STL) bus crashed into a daycare center in the Sainte-Rose district. , causing several injuries.

“It’s a pretty horrible scene to see. There is a police investigation at the moment so we will know a little more in the next few hours, ”said the mayor on his arrival at the scene of the accident.
The mayor did not want to go further on the details of the accident. “I am here to show my support for the families,” he said.
A crisis and psychological unit will be set up for parents and educators who have been affected by the tragedy.

The bus driver was arrested within minutes of the accident. It could be a deliberate move.
