The trial of two men, accused of causing the death of a bus driver in Bayonne, opens Friday September 15 in Pau. How can we protect people?

A female driver is attacked in Rouen (Seine-Maritime) on a bus. Another driver is threatened in Grenoble (Isère). Scenes of violence on buses are frequent, and are targeted. According to statistics, there were 942 attacks leading to work stoppage in French urban transport, outside the Paris region, an increase of 14%. Murielle gets back on a bus to tell her story, for the first time since her attack.

The safer tram

One day in Montpellier (Hérault), she asked two passengers for their transport ticket. “They grabbed me by the hair and took me outside. Not knowing how to defend myself, they tackled me to the ground, I curled up into a ball. It was filmed three minutes of kicking on the ground”, she says. Murielle is off work for three months. She resumes driving in a tram, where shemore protected. For many drivers, the fear of being targeted is a reality.
