Burgundy toasts with Sicily in Côté Saveurs

The man who had the idea for this twinning is called Alberto Iacono. Not surprising when you know that Sicilian blood runs through the veins of this restaurateur from Beaune.

Four Burgundian chefs made the trip to delight the guests of the pairing evening. Nunzio Iacono from Agastache in Volnay, Julien Perrier chef at home who cut his teeth at Lameloise, Thomas Saillant from the angels in Mâcon, and Nicolas Isnard from La Charme in Prenois. It was in Palermo that they decided to do their shopping.

The time has come to go to the kitchen to prepare the gourmet bites of the cocktail. How does our starred Nicolas Isnard go about putting Burgundy in his kitchen when he is far from his stove?

The trip ends with a detour in the Sicilian vineyard. A few kilometers from Castellammare del Golfo, at the end of a path very different from our Grands Crus route, we discover the Sallier de la Tour estate. Jacky Rigaux our famous Burgundian oenologist serves as our guide.
