Buffalo Sabers | Forward Jeff Skinner will be sidelined indefinitely

(Buffalo) Jeff Skinner, one of the Buffalo Sabres’ top scorers, will be sidelined indefinitely with an upper-body injury.

The team made the announcement Thursday, a few hours before its evening duel against the Ottawa Senators.

The Sabers did not provide any details regarding the nature of Skinner’s injury or when he was injured. They said the attacker would be evaluated from week to week.

Skinner scored his 17e goal of the campaign, in addition to obtaining an assist, in 24 appearances on the ice during a 5-2 loss at the hands of the Seattle Kraken on Tuesday.

Skinner is coming off back-to-back 30-goal campaigns and ranks second on the Sabers with 33 points in 38 games this season.
