(Orchard Park) The Buffalo Bills will be without Von Miller for the rest of the season. The quarterback chaser had surgery on his right knee for a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
Head coach Sean McDermott made the announcement on Wednesday. McDermott said the extent of the damage was discovered during exploratory surgery that took place on Tuesday. Miller missed one game with an injury sustained in the first half of a 28-25 victory over the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving Day.
Miller previously said he was hit in the meniscus. The Bills hoped to find him in time for the playoffs.
The Bills (9-3) have won their first three games and will host the New York Jets (7-5) on Sunday.
