(Orchard Park) The Buffalo Bills placed star defensive end Von Miller on the disabled list on Thursday.
Miller was injured in the second quarter of the Bills’ 28-25 victory over the Detroit Lions in the traditional American Thanksgiving game.
Miller’s knee bent the wrong way when Lions center Frank Ragnow ground on his right ankle.
Miller will miss at least four games, but Bills general manager Brandon Beane said the team hopes he’ll be back for the final leg of the season.
The Bills signed Miller to a six-year contract while he was a free agent. He ranks first among active NFL players in sacks (123½) and leads the Bills with eight sacks.
