Nassib joined the Buccaneers in Nashville, where the team practices Wednesday and Thursday ahead of its preseason game on Saturday. Head coach Todd Bowles said Nassib was a tough player against the ground game.
Bowles said Nassib was very good on outside running plays and could also play inside in certain situations.
“He brings a lot of versatility, energy and toughness and he understands the system. He is comfortable in this one. We can’t wait to see it come here. »
Outside linebacker Cam Gill is struggling with a broken Lisfranc suffered in the Buccaneers’ first preseason game.
Nassib spent two seasons with the Las Vegas Raiders after playing 29 games for the Buccaneers in 2018 and 2019.
Nassib, who became the first active NFL player to come out as gay in 2021, began his career with the Cleveland Browns after being selected in the third round of the 2016 draft.
