Bruno Bonduelle, emblematic president of the vegetable giant, is dead

Bruno Bonduelle died this Friday at the age of 89, at his home in Marcq-en-Barœul, in the Lille metropolis.

From 1985 to 1994, he was the former president of the group of the same name, a specialist in canned and frozen vegetables.

Subsequently, Bruno Bonduelle devoted himself to public action: after having chaired the CCI, he had founded the Greater Lille Committee, one of the most powerful lobbies of entrepreneurs.

Founded in 1853, the Bonduelle company now has nearly 12,000 employees worldwide.

“A man of character, creative”

Martine Aubry reacted to her disappearance. In a press release, the mayor of Lille expressed her “great sadness” while paying tribute to “a man of character, creative, who put his determination at the service of the development of the Lille metropolis and the north”.
