If no big favorites stand out in this 101st edition of the Catalan race, the Briton Simon Yates (BikeExchange-Jayco), winner of the last stage of Paris-Nice, could succeed his brother, Adam, winner of the 2021 edition. Among the other big names present, we find the Portuguese Joao Almeida (UAE), Nairo Quintana (Arkéa-Samsic) or the 2018 world road champion, Alejandro Valverde (Movistar).
