“Brûler le feu” by Juliette Armanet, a record filled with passion

Juliette is one of those young artists who knew how to make link between a chic and timeless variety and assumed pop music, from Michel Berger to Daft Punk, from Véronique Sanson to Dua Lipa.

Four years after the release of her first album, Juliette Armanet is back with “Brûler le feu”.

If his piano remains the beating heart of the album, he now dresses inwarm and dancing arrangements. She wrote and composed it while maintaining this subtle balance between melodies that are both popular and racy, capable of fascinating as well as of federating.

Carried by this new orchestral power, she explored what her voice is capable of, from whisper to near breaking point, revealing vocal prowess she may never have appreciated before.

With this second album, Juliette Armanet wanted to discover who she is, a girlfriend who has become a great lover, an explorer of a range of feelings that are expressed in each of the songs. The title “You play me” is thus a declaration of love to his audience.

Songs that hide however, at the turn of a minor chord, shadow of melancholy. An inevitable companion of those who know how to live only intensely.

“Burn the fire” … More than a mantra with assumed humor, it is a call to the uprising that Juliette Armanet launches on the last title of the disc, a cry from the heart which celebrates these flames which consume us as much as they illuminate our lives.
