Coyle gave the Bruins a three-goal lead as he moved the strings on the power play to 5:17 in the second period. It was the first goal for the shorthanded Sabers since the start of the season.
Placed in the face-off circle to the right of the net, Marchand passed a pass to Coyle who dodged three Sabers’ sticks to sneak up to him, to Anderson’s left.
At the end of the first period, Coyle had been the source of the Bruins’ second goal when he made a perfect pass on Nosek’s blade of the stick that raced into the slot. The latter only had to push the puck into a cage abandoned by an Anderson completely deported to his left.
Hall, who also had an assist on Nosek’s goal, completed the scoring by scoring in an empty net late in the game.
Ullmark saw his shutout spoiled with only 5:25 left in the third period.
