Bruins beat Panthers to lead series 3-1

Taylor Hall and Jake DeBrusk each scored two goals, Linus Ullmark blocked 41 shots and the Boston Bruins beat the Florida Panthers 6-2 on Sunday.

Brad Marchand and Tyler Bertuzzi also scored for the Bruins, who took a 3-1 series lead with a second straight win at Florida. Hall added two assists, and both of his goals came in the final 3:36 of the game, the second coming in an empty net.

Matthew Tkachuk and Sam Bennett scored the goals for the Panthers, while Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 25 pucks for the Panthers who will try to avoid elimination when they travel to Boston for Game 5 on Wednesday.

Late in the game, the 11 players, Bobrovsky not on the ice, were involved in a scrum with 3:11 to go, with Ullmark and Tkachuk coming close to coming to blows. The referees, however, did not let the situation escalate.

“I like it,” Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery said. They give 100 percent. »

Ullmark was assessed a misconduct penalty, which ended his match.

“Tkachuk does a lot of things to try to get into our head, but for the most part we’re doing a good job of keeping that between the whistles,” Bruins defenseman Brandon Carlo said. However, sometimes you have to show a little passion and fight back. »
