Bruce Willis: his wife pays tribute to him on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of “Die Hard”

Bruce Willis’ wife, Emma Heming, hailed her husband’s work in a moving tribute on Sunday.

The 68-year-old actor has retired following his diagnosis of aphasia, but his wife is carrying on the imprint he left on film by celebrating the 35e anniversary of the iconic film by Bruce Willis, diehard. Emma Heming has shared a video taken five years ago of the American star and the couple’s two children, Mabel and Evelyn, visiting the action film’s filming location.

“In 2018 [lorsque ces vidéos et photos ont été prises]we took Mabel and Evelyn to the Fox area to peek into the archives and see their dad’s massive mural,” she wrote in an Instagram post accompanying the clip.

The video notably showed Bruce Willis posing in front of an impressive mural of himself. “This mural was unveiled in front of Bruce in 2013 to celebrate the 25e birthday diehard, she explained. Today marks the 35e birthday diehard when it hit the screens and the rest is history.”

Emma Heming then hailed her husband’s entire career. “What Bruce was able to accomplish in his career will never be lost on us. We are so proud of him,” she added.

Shortly after posting his message, fans rushed to offer their support and share their admiration for the Hollywood legend. One movie buff wrote: “Thank you Bruce for keeping us entertained for all these years! I wish you the best,” while another exclaimed, “His movies were and still are the best!”

In March 2022, Bruce Willis’ family announced that he had been diagnosed with aphasia, and last February they revealed he had frontotemporal dementia.
