The “Boss”, Bruce Springsteen, is in Paris. Expected as the messiah of US rock by several generations of fans, his concerts will be sold out.

Bruce Springsteen, nicknamed the Boss, is a rock’n’roll legend. He has been electrifying crowds for almost 50 years with his group, the E Street Band. Its world tour, which began in February, broke records, with 117,000 spectators in two days in Barcelona (Spain). At 73, he is still a showman and a committed man, more fragile than he seems. Born in New Jersey (USA), Bruce Springsteen started playing in bars with his first band.

A committed artist

“It’s so natural for me, I feel so good on stage. In this exchange, I take so much pleasure in it”, he confided in 2022. His concerts often last more than three hours. Coming from a modest background, he has never forgotten his working-class roots, and sings of the people from below, the lost and disappointed with the American dream. His tube Born in the USAmistaken for a nationalist anthem, actually denounces the ingratitude towards Vietnam veterans.

A Democrat at heart, he will engage in particular against George W. Bush and Donald Trump. Without displaying it, he uses his immense fortune to support humanitarian causes. His fans also love him for his fragility and flaws. Between them, it’s life and death.
